GBBopen Version 1.0 is released!
GBBopen 1.0 is not a "major" release, in the sense that there are no
incompatible changes from Version 0.9. However, it is a very major release
in that we will probably be asked "When will GBBopen be ready to use?" a
lot less often. Those of you who have been using GBBopen for years may
also appreciate this magic version number if it reduces your need to
explain why you are using software that's "not ready" yet. Through a
steady progression, we've reached a milestone of sorts. We're not done yet
(but maybe we should have ordered a cake...)!
The GBBopen 1.0 release includes the following changes:
* Support added for set-composite dimension values and
space-instance storage of them; support for incomposite (scalar)
pattern retrieval of set-composite unit instances
* Added processing of <install-dir>/shared-gbbopen-modules
(processed immediately before user's personal
<homedir>/gbbopen-modules)
* Added system-name tagging of extended-REPL commands, directory
definitions, and module definitions
* New built-in REPL commands:
:systems Shows all system-names used in commands, directory
definitions, and module definitions
:commands [<system-name>]
Shows all extended-REPL commands; if system-name is
specified, then only those commands are displayed
:undefine-system <system-name>
Removes all commands, directory definitions, and
module definitions associated with <system-name>
* Changes to Mini Module system:
- Added application-version modifier support to DEFINE-ROOT-DIRECTORY
- New GET-ROOT-DIRECTORY Mini Module function
- New WITH-MODULE-REDEFINITIONS macro
* Renamed DEFINE-TLL-COMMAND to DEFINE-REPL-COMMAND
(DEFINE-TLL-COMMAND is deprecated and will be removed in
GBBopen 1.1)
See the CHANGES file (http://gbbopen.org/svn/GBBopen/trunk/CHANGES) and the
GBBopen Reference (http://gbbopen.org/hyperdoc/)for more details.
